Memorial Day Parade Information for Parents (2023)
We are asked by the town to have a band participate in the Memorial Day Parade (this year in Becket) on Monday, May 29th The band is made up of students from the CBRSD towns. The total time commitment will be about 9:30-11:15.
7th and 8th Grade Band has been preparing for the Memorial Day Parade in Becket on Monday, May 29th. Students will need to take their instruments HOME on Friday May 26th so they have them available for the parade Monday.
There will be a bus available at Nessacus leaving at 9:30am to travel to Becket. The parade start there is 10:30am. If you live closer to Becket, you may be dropped off at the North Becket Cemetery at 10am but please let us know. Parade route is along Route 8 from the cemetery into the Town Center in front of Becket Washington School.
SUMMARY: MEMORIAL DAY PARADE Monday, May 29th, 9:30am bus leaves Nessacus. If you live closer to Becket, you may be dropped off at the North Becket Cemetery at 10am. Parade Start: 10:30am. Parade attire= black pants, white top and sneakers. MUSIC: STARS AND STRIPES for parade route.
