Seasons Greetings!
December is always a busy month for music programs. Ours is no exception. On Saturday, December 3rd, several of our students auditioned for the All Western Mass, Music Festival. Students who made it into the Festival will be announced at the Winter Concert on Tuesday, December 13th.
On Saturday, December 10th, a group of students (volunteer only) will be performing at the "Christmas in Dalton" event. If you have never been, it is a good time for all with music, food and Santa, too on the streets of Dalton. Band students who volunteered to play at this event will be at the Pittsfield Cooperative Bank on Carson Ave. from about 6:15-6:45. Then, at 7pm, the group will join Wahconah music students on the steps of the CRA for the annual lighting of the tree. Please note that this is NOT A MANDATORY CONCERT for all Band students. It is more a 7th/8th grade "opportunity". Students who volunteered have received information as to where to show up and what to bring.
Next on our school performance agenda is the Winter Concert which takes place on Tuesday night, December 13th. ALL BAND AND CHORUS STUDENTS are involved in this performance. The Concert is at 7pm. Please have Band students at Nessacus (dressed in Black/White concert attire) by 6:30pm to warm up.
Auditorium Doors will open at 6:40pm.
We always ask (if it is possible) to bring a baked good to the concert to offer as refreshments after the concert. If you can contribute in this way, we would be grateful.
